Operation Repo? What happened to it?
Two or three weeks ago, my mom and I were looking for something to watch and we came upon Operation Repo and we watched every episode that TruTV showed that nite and we found it truly hilarious and quite fun despite the danger situations that can arise. But I don't see in the show listings anywhere. So what happened to the show, anybody know?

Remember this is mostly for entertainment. They have to keep it interesting. I know what you do can get dangerous, but you know what you doing and that's why your have not had many altercations. Don't look at it as an insult look at it as entertainment. We know most people in the business aren't clowns.

Repo on that ranch
I agree that it was appalling. I actually laughed out loud when the bald guy with all the tatoos said "I'm a professional". well, maybe he meant he was a professional jacka$$ !!!! They're driving around in that POS sling truck, now who really uses those sling trucks nowadays? And when they went to that ranch and saw what was most probably (and was) their vehicle, why the hell didn't the driver of the repo truck IMMEDIATELY circle around it it as he was working his boom? That's what I want to know????!!! Hook and book!!! he could have done that, have 1 person get out to VIN and get the hell out of there before getting it hooked properly (to the sling truck!!! ugh!)...
As for the sister that works there!!! The idea is to NOT bring attention to yourself. She looks and dresses like some sort of a clown out of a bad nightmare, now if THAT isn't bringing attention to herself, then I don't know WHAT is!!!
Totally unprofessional. I understand that for the sake of "entertainment" they needed to put on a good 'show'... but they're the reason us professionals get such a bad name!!!
I used to get more cars during the day without confrontations than I did at night, and NEVER argue for the keys, either they give them up or just tow the thing off, no keys=them paying for the inventory (which just paid for having the keys made)......
Definitely shows there is still ALOT of unprofessionals out there, it's no wonder we STILL get a bad reputation!!!
TruTV, if you're going to put another episode on their, PLEASE try to find another repossession company that is going to act like professionals and use professional equipment. Of course they're going to be hard to find because most professionals I know wouldn't allow the filming, but at least find someone who doesn't make us look THAT bad!!!

Haters
It's not that we're 'haters', it's that some of us are true professionals. It's not that it's really bad, but it COULD be better if it didn't show unprofessionalism. I realize they have to 'sensationalize' it for TV, but why not show a little professionalism? No wonder why people think what they do about "the repo man". It could still be shown how true professionals do it and still be a good show.
I DO like the show, but I wish it would show a company that uses true professionals with REAL repo equipment.

wildchild I don't know in what state you live in but in florida its not illegal to go into private property or behind a fence to get a car. You are right the garage is off limit because its attached to the dwelling, but beside's that its fair game. For example friday night we had a guy go crazy and calling cops and cutting us off because we opened his fence pulled a car he was blocking the car we were looking for and we put it in the middle of the street and we pulled our car out. When the cops came they told him we didn't brake any laws and the guy went nuts. lol

Miss 3 Payments
It might not be a TV show, but I have recently started a blog about my life as a repoman for over 10 years. I just started it, but I promise I'll keep on updating it with crazy stories.

Wild Show
Maybe I'm just a.true repo voyeur..but I think the show is very entertaining a bit dramatic but considering the line of work .. understandable. The characters are perfect for the job too. Who else could put themselves in such a dangerous and daring situation and carry it off so well? And as for the woman and all the nasty remarks that people are making about herI'm sure none ofyou wold have the b***s to do what she does every day. So if her looks are intimidating ti you DONT LOOK AT HER!!Cuz I'm sure she's making a great living and can take all of the criticsm all the way to the bank. More power to YA sistah!

american greed and theivery
What people should really be appaled about is how many people in our society are purchasing these expensive toys that they cannot afford. And that extreem measures like this have to be taken to take back these stolen tems from the criminals that are stealing them. Its good that people like these on the show are willing to put themselves on the line to save businesses from these terrible losses that they sustain from these dishonest and theiving predator customers.

You have got to be Kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!
This CANNOT BE REAL!!!! You got the Jerry Springer REJECT blonde and her " Harvard "grad brother that own this nameless company. A steroid wrestler wannabe who definitely needs a few valium. A homemade sling boom in the back of a P O S truck ready to just fall apart. They have no problems breaking and entering, physicaly assaulting debtors, destroying property, or kidnapping debtors. I will be completely amazed if this "company" is still in business for another season. Creditors are completely liable for the actions of their represenitives (ie collection agencies reposesors etc), and from the two episodes I saw I am very thankful for that. In todays economey, these creditors can't afford the lawsuits they will most likey recieve. Providing this is real!!!! The episode where Matt grabs the helicopter pilot, I can't help but think if I was witness to this, what would I have done? I realize now that many, many repo men will now lose their lives because of this show. This show can and probably will be used in court for the defense of the debtor who will likely now just shoot and kill the reposessor, with the thought "I am defending myself. The sad thing is, they will probably get away with it. After seeing this show, I would shoot first and ask questions later too, and I am a full time repossessor!!!!!! TRU TV, you should be ashamed of yourself's, I hope you can sleep at night knowing that you have actually suceeded in disgracing a disgraced business. I find it hard to imagine that your station actually condones this kind of behavior. I used to enjoy your channel, But will not ever be able to view it again without thinking of this DISGUSTING show!!!

It is very sad that people buy more than they can afford. But what about rights. Would you say it is ok for police to beat a teenager for throwing trash on the ground? It is not ok to break the law to enforce the law, nor is 90% of the actions of these repossesors!!!!

How judgemental? You must be one of these people who buys everything on credit and then skips out on the bills... One of these people who has helped to put our country in the econimc crisis it is in today. Expecting everyone else to bail them out. I guess a repo man has passed thruogh your gates a time or two.!

As far as being ok to assault someone to collect anything, No way!!! That is against the law. By your logic, if you are ever late for any bill, the debtor has the right to come to your home and tackle you in front of your children and beat you till you are unconcious!! hope that cell phone, or utility, or car is worth it. Who would put themselve in a situation to repo vehicles? I DO EVERY DAY!!!!! I have been doing it for just over ten years now I have been shot at , had a piece of the bullet bounce off the car's sheet metal and hit me in the neck. I have been cursed and yelled at. I have had dogs sicked on me, and been hit by cars more than once. My EXPERIENCE has tought me patience, a calm voice and understanding gets me a hell of a lot further than beating a teenage girl over a honda!!!! When the time comes to be violent, I can defend myself and my employees, BUT ONLY WHEN NECCESARY!!!! NOT ON EVERY SINGLE REPO!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont agree these people who skip out on their bills deseve to have the stolen items taken away from them and if they put up resistance which is their choice then live with the consequences.!!! What would happen to these people if they robbed a store wouldnt they be restrained and taken to jail? And if they chose to fight back theyd suffer the consequences.

You are mistaken. I don not advocate violence in any case!!But surely you have to take some measures to protect yourself and do your job. Maybe if you think you could do better you should get your own show!

I personally am not worried about this economic problem you have brought up that has nothing to do with this board. I paid everyting I have off and have money in the bank. No repos whatsoever which is probably more than you can say. So just sit back and enjoy these fools on tv and eat your popcorn. Chill out and enjoy the madness. Maybe even a valium or two.
