radar guns

i just watched an episode and it stated that "it is illegal to use handheld radar guns in all 50 states". it was on episode originally aired in 2007. it reaired today at 3:00 pm est. can someone verify if this true. if it is I could have got out of a lot of tickets.

This is not true, or you misunderstood. I have not seen the show that you’re talking about. Given that, radar is not always right, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. You can look up radar on the internet and find many books written by cops that have been train in the use of radar or Lieder and Lassoer. You will also find books written by engineers that our in the business of producing the product.
There are products out there that will stop Lieder and Laser or that work and are ok to use in most states. You can not jam Radar, it is agents federal law (FCC) and states that say you can not use radar are braking federal law, so if you get a ticket for having one in one of those states you can and will get out of the ticket. (FCC laws allow all us citizens to receive public radio signals that are what radar is).
Radar will bounce off of building, react to other two way radio frequencies, they work different in different weather. There are a lot of factors for radar to work just right; there are more things that can go wrong than right.
Now with that said: Radar and all other devices used are just tools for a LEO to use to verify your speed, LEO’s are trained to check your speed just by sight. Cops are trained and re-trained once a month (in good departments) on how to check your speed by sight.
EBay has some great books at a low price. These books have forms in them for you to fill out as will as the officer that stops you. If the officer falls to fill out this form in all states than the office has broken both federal and state laws, and will not only get you out of a ticket but him may have his LEO commission suspended or taken away for not complying with state and Federal Law.
