They are guides not GOD
Well, I personally believe that the psychics on the show are very talented. All the cases they are working on are old cases where a lot of time has passed. And just like a murder when the case goes cold, I am sure the clues the psychic produce law enforcement is cold they are seeing things as they were when the incident occurred. Even if they don't solve the case they do provide some closure for the family in that they inform them of how the incident occurred. Further, the psychic is not law enforcement, they can only provide them the informaiton, it is up to the officers to follow up. The psychics are guides not GOD

Another thing.. they talked about JonBenet waking up in the middle of the night and going downstairs to have something to eat. JonBenet was 6 years old.. most little ones that age would not wander around a big, dark house like that at night all alone and then get themselves something to eat and sit at the table and eat it alone and in the dark. That does not ring true to me. It is common knowledge JonBenet had pineapple in her stomach contents... I think a far more likely scenario is that JonBenet was given a snack before they put her to bed and she was awake when they returned home. Not really that big of a deal in the scheme of the murder but, it made me question how "in tune" these psychics really were.

Ok, so how many kids do you have again? I have 5 and all 5 of my kids (who range in age from 7-15) have gotten up in the middle of the night for drinks, going to the bathroom, and late night sneaky snacks without being afraid. I think that is a very plausible idea that Jon Benet could have gotten up for a snack in the middle of the night. All that I have read about her character as a person is that she was not shy and very outgoing.
Also, kids can and will fall asleep in 5 minutes or less if they are tired. If they were coming from a Christmas party and she had been running around crazy playing with other kids, I would not doubt she fell asleep on the way home.
Unless you know a child personally, you should never make such assumptions.... the old adage about a person who assumes! No matter what, I hope something helped figure out some portion of truth to anything.

Haunting Evidence updates
Hi all,
I think this is really a wonderful show and I love watching it, but I wonder if you ever have updates. You give us all this information, then leave us hanging. Having proof that your solving crimes will keep your viewer coming back. I believe your team but without proof your show can be viewed as ficton. Thanks for your efforts

This show drives me crazy
I have been wondering the same thing since I first saw this show. They should do an update after the episode, in place of where they say "if you have any info...." It always sounds like they really provide a lot of detail but there is not one documented case that credits these people in helping solve them! It frustrates me everytime I watch it because they just submit their "evidence" and thats it. I need closure!! I'm sticking to forensic files...those people are actually accomplishing something!

Case in Columbus, Ohio NOT solved
I got on trutv's site to see if any of these cases have been a result of the show's efforts .. Guessing not. A google search didn't reaveal anything either.
I also live in Columbus, Ohio and do know that the search for Tony Luzio is ongoing.
I do know that a few months ago someone turned in supporting evidence to the FBI because they believed their stepfather was the Zodiac killer but nothing has been determined as of yet.
Still wondering why they changed the name from Psychic Detectives? Anyone know?

Why cases aren't solved or follow up
I just watched the haunting evidence episode of Tony Luzio Jr. and googled the name to see if the car with Tony was found, where both, John and Carla said it was and also John had a map. Are the police looking or do they believe the psychics? I also want there to be a follow up episode and show if the cases are solved or still ongoing? I absolutely love this show, but the curiosity of these cases being solved or the not knowing, is really bothering me.

Rhonda: depending on the various law enforcement personnel the question is how much validation is received from the cases that have been successfully closed and the criminal has been captured. One such H.E. episode has concluded with some startling results between what the pyschics stated and what was gleened from the killer at a later date. There have also been some unreported things from different episodes that have surfaced, but again, none of this is currently being reported BECAUSE these cases are still ongoing.
I hope TruTV will decide to continue with this very important show because these three people can contribute to the eventual desired outcome.

there is no proof anywhere of a psychic solving or even helping to solve a criminal case. the fact that there also is none here, on a forum for a show that was dedicated to "psychic detectives", ought to be a major red flag for the fans of this show.

I like your name LilBunnyFooFoo! It is Cute!
Psychics are not always the best to use when solving cases. But I enjoyed watching Haunting Evidence because I could see a different perspective on unsolved cases.
I do believe though some people have a sixth sense or special gifts to see beyond what meets the eye. Sending money will not help solve the cases.
I do not have psychic ability but I believe God gives us women an Instinct and Intuition to use to protect ourselves from harm. I do my best to listen to my instinct, intuition and live by my deep spiritual faith in God and my religious beliefs. I also use logic and common sense to get me through the rigors of life.
I am not sure where psychics get their information from. Maybe it comes from their perceptions and feelings on the case.

Well I saw this show for the first time and loved, loved, loved it. I will be a frequent watcher. none of my friends had heard of it either. I wish i had recorded the Ramsey case while it was on but I did not think of it. I hope they air it again so my friends can see it.

hi
yes, the case of the girl who was raped in Phoenix was solved.
Oliver came up with a nearly exact sketch of the assailant.
They both or at least one of them said that the rapist would be caught.
And they also said that he had her ring from when he raped her.
All of it came true, when they caught the guy, he did have her ring which he had taken from her the night of the rape.
The guy is now in jail doing life. So YES, that case was solved.

E Article on yahoo about the failure of psychics.
I read an e-article on Yahoo today that was about the failure of psychics. It made this comment about the show. "In February 2004, Court TV launched a series about psychic detectives investigating cold cases "Haunting Evidence." The show was cancelled after three seasons, without having solved a single case." Obviously whoever did the research fo the article did not do it very well, or the Police are not giving the proper credit to where the info came from that helped solve cases visited on the show. If anyone wants to read the full aticle here is the link. http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/...lureofpsychics

I checked out this link http://www.ktsm.com/home/ticker/5023001.html but did not find anyrhing. I love this show but I hate how they all end. They need to add updates for any changes in the cases. Does anyone know if there is any way to find information on whether or not any of these cases have been solved because of the evidence provided from the show?
